Can you believe there are only 12 days until Christmas! Have you finished shopping?
Have you started shopping??

I'm almost finished, with just a few stocking stuffers to go! My goal is to be done by
Sunday so that I can enjoy time with my in-laws without being all stressed out about
shopping.

We had our first snow of the season on Sunday and it was the perfect day for staying
inside drinking hot chocolate, making Chex Snack Mix and watching Christmas movies
with the family.

I recently received the new Vitamix Aer Disc Container to use with my
Vitamix E310 Explorian Series Blender and I couldn't wait to try it out! Hot Chocolate
with homemade whipped cream on a snow day - yes please!

The Vitamix Aer Disc Container is compatible with all full-size (Classic and Smart
System) Vitamix blenders. It can master whipping, muddling, foam, and emulsifying
for any recipe and it can help make batches of handcrafted-quality cocktails in a
fraction of the time.

Hot chocolate made with milk and real chocolate chips is so much better than those
powdery packets. Simply mix 2 cups of milk (I used 2%) with 1/2 cup of semi-sweet
chocolate chips and blend them together using the Aer Disc Container. Once blended,
you can either pour the mixture into a sauce pan and warm it on the stove top or in the
microwave. Delicious!

For the whipped cream, use the same container to whip 3 cups of heavy cream with
1/3 cup granulated sugar. Homemade whipped cream is heavenly!

Homemade Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream

2 cups milk (I used 2%)
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Place all ingredients into the Vitamix Aer disc container in the order listed and secure
the lid. Select the lowest setting. Start the machine, slowly increase to its highest
speed, and run for 6 minutes. Heat in a sauce pan on the stove top or pour into
individual mugs and microwave for 1-2 minutes.

Whipped Cream:
3 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup granulated sugar

Place ingredients into the Aer disc container in the order listed and secure the lid.
Select the lowest setting. Start the machine, increase to the highest speed, and run
for 45 seconds to 1 minute, using the tamper to press ingredients into the disc toward
the end of the run time.

Serves 2.

Enjoy!

The Vitamix Aer Disc Container is available to purchase at Williams Sonoma,
Sur La Table, Target and Amazon.
