Georgetown Cupcake

Remember when I was in Georgetown 3 years ago and I wanted to go into Georgetown Cupcake so bad,
but the line was REALLY long with an hour plus wait?!?!

Well I finally made it back!
And there were only 3 people ahead of me - woo hoo!

Beware.
Lots of cupcake pics ahead :)

So many flavors!

How will I ever choose?

Behind the scenes cupcake decorating.
Love those little fondant flowers.

I think I need to bedazzle my mixer like this one :)
Anybody have some pink sparkles they want to get rid of?

Love the pink boxes and pretty flowers on the tables!

Red velvet, chocolate ganache, raspberry white chocolate and banana.
So pretty!

They were delicious.
The frosting is so light and fluffy and the cake flavor is outstanding.
Loved them!
Definitely one of the best Mondays ever!

Rolo Cupcakes

My mini candy obsession continues with Rolos this time.
Chocolate, caramel and more chocolate - yum!

Cupcakes:
Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Cake recipe or use your favorite box mix
1 bag Rolo minis
Hershey's Hot Fudge Sauce
Hershey's Caramel Sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and place liners in cupcake pans.
Follow directions for Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Cake for cupcakes.

While cupcakes are baking, pour some caramel sauce (about 3/4 cup)  into a measuring cup or bowl and heat in the microwave for 30-40 seconds.  Stir.  Pour the warm caramel into a Wilton squeeze bottle.
As soon as the cupcakes come out of the oven, inject caramel into the center of each cupcake.
Let them completely cool before frosting.

Vanilla Buttercream

3 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
6 cups confectioners sugar
1 T whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract

In the bowl of your stand mixer add butter and mix for about 1 minute.
Add confectioners sugar one cup at a time.
Add whipping cream and vanilla extract and beat until light and fluffy.
Pipe frosting onto cooled cupcakes.

Top with a Rolo mini and drizzle with caramel and chocolate fudge.

You are more beautiful this year than you have ever been.
Hello favorite place on earth.
This is my childhood home and where my parents still live.
Acres of farmland with a barn, creek, pond, beautiful flowers and a huge garden.

Kit Kat Cupcakes

Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar.
Remember that 90's jingle?
Well now you don't have to break off a piece of your Kit Kat bar to share it with a friend
because they come in adorable mini size.  They're unwrapped and ready to eat!

Whoever came up with the idea of mini candy bars was a genius.
Minis are SO much cuter and make the best cupcake toppers!

Cool in pan for a few minutes and then place the cupcakes on a wire rack to continue cooling.
