Biscoff Rice Krispie Treats and Share the Love Photo Contest

I've discovered an amazing new treat.

Biscoff spread, otherwise known as cookie butter.

Oh my is it delicious!

Be warned.  You will want to eat it with a spoon!

If you have traveled by air within the past 20+ years, you have probably tasted a Biscoff cookie.

These delicious little cookies are served on a majority of domestic airlines.

The founding Boone Brothers opened their bakery in 1932 in Lembeke, Belgium.

Eighty years later they are still going strong.

Today Biscoff cookies and Biscoff spread are sold in most retail stores nationwide.

Biscoff Rice Krispie Treats

6 cups puffed rice cereal (I used brown rice cereal)

10 oz. package mini marshmallows

4T butter

1/2 cup Biscoff Spread

1 cup chocolate chips, optional

mini candy coated candies, optional

Butter or spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.  In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.

Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and mixture is nice and smooth.

Soften the Biscoff spread by heating in the microwave for about 20 seconds.  Stir it into the marshmallow mixture.

Remove from heat.  Add rice cereal and mix until completely combined.  Spread cereal mixture into your prepared bake dish, pressing lightly to even it out.

Let completely cool.

Drizzle on melted chocolate and decorative candies if desired.

Enjoy!
