Starbucks® K-cup® Hot Cocoa and Whole Wheat Blueberry Scones

This post was sponsored by Starbucks® as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence
Central.  I received compensation and complimentary products to facilitate my review.

Winter has never been my favorite season.  I'm definitely a summer kind of girl, but there
are a few things do love about this chilly time of year.  I love sitting by our cozy fireplace
reading a book or watching a movie with the family.  I love making soups and baking sweet
treats and I love Starbucks® dates with my husband.

Last winter we started going on mini dates to Starbucks® and we have carried on that
tradition again this year.  It's so fun to people watch or sit and talk while we sip on hot
cocoa or chai tea and share a blueberry scone.

We would love to go to Starbucks every week, but that can get expensive, so I was super
excited to hear about the new Starbucks® Hot Cocoa K-cup® pods and to receive the
Starbucks® Cozy Collection in the mail.

Warming up and getting cozy at home has never been easier.  The latest Starbucks® K-cups®
are available in Classic Hot Cocoa and Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa.  They are rich and creamy,
made of real cocoa and can be found in most grocery stores.  In just minutes we can have a
cup of chocolatey goodness at home - how cozy is that!

Enjoy Starbucks® K-cup® Hot Cocoa with marshmallows, shortbread cookies or your
favorite treat.  As I mentioned earlier, we love Starbucks® blueberry scones, so I thought
I would make a healthier version to enjoy with our Starbucks® K-cup® hot cocoa at home.
I used whole wheat flour, Greek yogurt and just a little sugar to make the scones healthy,
but so delicious.

Now we can enjoy our favorite Starbucks® treats in the comfort of our own home.

I love both flavors of hot cocoa, but the Starbucks® Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa is my fave.
Warm cocoa complimented with a pinch of sea salt and a dash of natural carmel flavor.
It's so warm and delicious!

There are only a few more weeks of winter left (let's hope), so get cozy with a warm blanket,
a good book and your favorite flavor of Starbucks® Hot Cocoa or have an at home date
with someone you love.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Scones

1/3  C all-purpose flour
1/3 C whole wheat flour
3 T brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 C non-fat plain Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 T butter, melted and cooled
1 egg white
1/2 C fresh blueberries

cooking spray
1/2 T raw sugar
1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  In a large mixing bowl whisk flours, brown sugar,
baking powder, baking soda and salt.  In a small bowl combine Greek yogurt,
vanilla, butter and egg white.  Add wet ingredients to dry, mixing just until
combined.  The mixture will be crumbly.  Gently fold in the blueberries, saving
a few to press into the top of the dough.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 8 or 9 times with
your hands.  Form the dough into a 6 - 8 inch circle and place onto a baking sheet
lined with parchment paper or a Silpat mat.  Cut dough into 6 wedges to barely
separate.  (I forgot to do this with this batch, but they were still fine.) Spray the
top with cooking spray and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.  Bake for
20-25 minutes or until scones are golden brown.

Enjoy with a cup of Starbuck® K-cup® hot cocoa.
