Frosted Peanut Butter Bars #KraftHolidaySavings

I enjoy baking all year round, but there's just something extra special about baking during the holidays.

I love to turn the lights on the tree, crank up the Christmas music, put on a pretty apron and spend the afternoon baking sweet treats for my family and friends!

Kraft makes it easy to create yummy baked goods and savory party foods by offering money saving coupons at your local Target.  Right now you can save up to $20 on participating Kraft products, only at Target.  Save on products like Kraft Shredded Cheese, Kraft Mayo and Gevalia Coffee.

I used my coupon for Planters Smooth Peanut Butter to make Frosted Peanut Butter Bars.

Be sure to download the Target Planters Peanut Butter coupon so you can make these delicious bars too!
Chocolate and Peanut Butter are my fave!

Add some sprinkles for a more festive look.
Sprinkles make everything better!

Peanut Butter Bars
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup Kraft Planters Creamy Peanut Butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup quick cooking oats

In the bowl of a stand mixer cream together butter, sugars and peanut butter.  Add the egg, baking soda, flour and oats, mixing just until combined.
Spread dough evenly in a 9 x 13 bake dish, coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until done.
Cool bars on a wire rack.  While bars are cooling make your frosting.

Chocolate Frosting
3 T butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 T milk
2 T unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.  Stir in cocoa and remove from stovetop.  Stir in the milk, powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.  Spread over cooled peanut butter bars.  Top with sprinkles if desired.
Cut into squares and serve.
Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Happy Holiday Baking :)

From shopping for gifts to planning family dinners, it’s hard to keep up with all your holiday to-do’s. This year, Kraft is helping out with great weeknight meals and entertaining ideas to make the season a little bit easier. Plus, Kraft is offering up to $20 in coupons, redeemable exclusively at Target, to make food shopping easier and to help you have a happy holiday season.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Kraft. The opinions and text are all mine.
