Beauty Favorites

Happy February!

Love Welcome Mat and Fuchsia Pink Tieks

Now that January is over, we're one step closer to Spring and warm weather!
Last weekend we had a heck of a snow storm here in Virginia and although it was kind
of nice to be snowed in a for a couple days, I'm so glad so see that the temperature is
warming up this week!

I thought it would be fun to start off the new month with some of my beauty favorites.
I wrote a similar post back in September (you can read it here) and although some things
are the same, I have found a few new products that I really love.  So let's get started.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day

A couple of weeks ago I had a basil cell carsinoma removed from my nose.  I had to be
really careful not to get my stitches wet, which made washing my face a challenge. so I
picked up a package of Pond's Evening Soothe Wet Cleansing Towelettes.  They did a great
job of removing my eye make-up and helping my face feel nice and clean.  I love the
chamomile and white tea fragrance too.  I couldn't really take a shower and wash my hair
either so I used the under the faucet method every other day.  Between washings I used
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day.  This is the best dry shampoo I have ever used!  I just
purchased the small size since I didn't know how well it would work, but I will definitely
get the larger size next time!

My skin is so dry, especially in the winter. I've been using Josie Maran Whipped Argan
Oil Body Butter for about a year now and it is fabulous!  It's a little pricey, but so worth it.
My skin feels hydrated immediately and it smells so good!

I'm still loving the Essie line of nail polish.  It drys almost immediately and I love that.
I prefer nail polish colors that are pretty neutral and not too bright.  This shade is called
ballet slippers.  I never ever wear eyeliner, mostly because I never knew how to apply it
correctly, but after watching a few of Kate's videos, I've been giving it a go.  I've been
using Urban Decay Glide-On Eye Pencil in mushroom and so far so good.  I'll keep ya
posted.  Thanks Kate!

Me and My Pink Mixer Beauty Favorites

I'm still loving Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue for my foundation.  I'm very fair skinned,
so I use the shade vanilla.  I still haven't found a daily moisturizer that I love yet.  I bought
the Andalou Naturals Daily Defense Lotion during a recent shopping trip to Whole Foods.
I was looking for a daily moisturizer with SFP.  It's great for sensitive skin and is lightweight,
which I do love.  I haven't made up my mind if I will purchase it again or try something else
yet.  The Trader Joe's Natural Facial Cleansing Pads were an impulse buy.  They remind me
of the Stridex pads I used some during my teen years.  My face feels really clean and refreshed
after I use them.  The tea tree oil fragrance is a little different, but I don't mind it.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

I'm on my third bottle of Kenra Blow Dry Spray.  I love it so much!  It really does help my
hair dry faster in the mornings.  This is the second tube of Fresh Soy Face Cleanser I have
purchased.  I love how clean my face feels after using it and the smell is amazing.  I really
want to try more products from the Fresh line soon.  At my age eye cream is a must.  I use
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado most of the time.  I'm also trying this sample
size of Prevage Eye Cream and really like it as well.

Tarte Amazonian 12-Hour Blush

As far as make-up goes I'm still using Bare Minerals Well Rested as my eyeshadow, Tarte
Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed (the best blush ever!) and Bare Minerals bareSkin
Perfecting Veil in Light to Medium.  Maybelline Instant Age Rewind is my best friend each
morning.  It covers dark circles and helps my eyes look alive.  I can't even tell you how many
little bottles of this stuff I've been through!

Well that about covers it for my beauty faves for January.  I'd love to hear what your favorites
are!  I need another excuse to run to Ulta or Sephora :) Please let me know your favorites in the comments section.

Have a great week sweet friends!!

{By the way - this is not a sponsored post.  I purchased all of these items myself, however there
may be a couple of Amazon Affiliate links.}
