my feet from time to time. That's because I'm so in love with my pretty fuchsia and lilac
Tieks ballet flats that I just can't resist!
Never before have I loved a pair of shoes so much! Not only are Tieks cute and stylish,
but they are THE most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned! Tieks are made of
fine Italians leathers, are hand stitched and have non-skid split leather soles providing
comfort and support.
I first took notice of Tieks last year when I saw other women sharing photos of their
Tieks on social media. While attending a few blogger conferences in 2015, I couldn't
help but notice that other bloggers were wearing these adorable, colorful ballet flats.
What was the deal with these shoes? Why were so many women wearing them?
I had to find out more, so I searched the #tieks hashtag on social media and began
reading reviews. Everyone raved about how comfortable the flats are and how much
they loved them, so I began shopping around the Tieks website and fell in love.
There were so many pretty colors! How could I choose???
I'm not going to lie, the $175 price tag is definitely more money than I have ever paid
for a pair of shoes. Are they worth the price?
Yes!
I have a wide foot, so comfortable shoes that fit well have always been a problem for me.
I would rather own a few pair of shoes that fit well, than a closet full of shoes that
pinch my feet, give me blisters or flop when I walk. Tieks do none of those things
to my feet. I wear them to work all day with out any problems at all. I even wore
them to Disney World and sightseeing in New Orleans recently.
I love how versatile Tieks are. They look great with jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts
and dress pants too. I want more colors so that I can wear them to work every day!
a personal, hand written note and beautiful packaging. I was so impressed! Never before
have I been this obsessed about shoes.
I am a huge fan of Tieks and they are definitely worth the money.
Here are a few more reasons why I love them so much:
1. Tieks are comfortable from the get go - there is no breaking in time.
2. If they get dirty, simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth.
3. They are flexible and fold in half for easy packing.
4. The color selection is amazing. So many choices!
6. I receive so many compliments when I wear them - everyone loves them!
My Fuchsia and lilac Tieks are fun colors to wear, but I really want to add some neutral
colors next. I'm thinking taupe or metallic pewter.
What color Tieks would you choose?
I am contemplating buying a pair... I love how cute they look! Do they run pretty true to size?
ReplyDeleteYes they do Kimberly. I always wear a size 8 & they fit me perfectly.
DeleteThank you! Now to decide what color! :-)
DeleteI always wear an 8, but these seem to run alittle short, my toes hit the end.
DeleteI ordered metallic pewter and love the color but I usually wear a 7-1/2 and so glad I ordered an 8 cuz a 7 would be too tight...
DeleteI have Metallic Pewter and love them. It's a really great neutral.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. Metallic Pewter is my on wish list - hopefully soon!
DeleteJust got my first pair of Tieks as a gift from my husband. I LOVE the color (sunset stripe) and look of them. I've read how comfy they are from the get go, but mine hurt my feet. :( In your opinion, is this a sign I should exchange for a bigger size? BTW Glad I found your site!
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure - my Tieks are the the most comfortable shoes I own! Trying another size couldn't hurt. Thanks for reading my blog!
DeleteMy feet hardly ever stay in a ballet flat, either the shoe is too small and the back of the shoe rubs on my ankle. By the end of the night I'm throwing the shoes out. Or they don't fit right and don't stay on my feet. They might as well be flip flops with a very small front holding on for dear life to my toes. Do you have any issues with this?
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem with other flats, but not my Tieks!
DeleteI LOVE mine so much!!
ReplyDeleteMe too Kim!!
DeleteDo your feet sweat badly in them? I'm a huge fan of TOMS, but they make my feet sweat and stinky. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI haven't worn them in the middle of summer yet, but no I haven't had any problems with my feet sweating badly in them so far.
Deletecould I wear arch supports in them?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure since I have never worn arch supports - sorry.
DeleteYes. It's on the website
DeleteHey Linda! Imagine my surprise when I searched "tieks" and clicked on the first link and the first review said "Linda McMillen" Harrisonburg. I said, "No way!", but then I clicked to read the full review and there you were! What's the chance of that happening? I'm living in Roanoke now so seeing a familar city was nice enough but someone I know, reviewing a product I'm searching. Hah Hah! Hope you are well. Cool blog! Thanks for the review. Ann Toliver
ReplyDeleteHi Ann! Wow - that's crazy! I LOVE my Tieks, so I was happy to write a review. It's so nice to hear from you and I hope you will stop by again. Take care!
DeleteI always have problems with ballet flats. They always hurt my ankles and give me blisters..can I return the shoes for a refund if this happens?
ReplyDeleteYou can contact Tieks customer service if you are not happy with your purchase.
DeleteCan anyone tell me where they are manufactured. ie: Country of origin? Thanks
ReplyDeleteDo they come in wide width??? I have a very wide foot. With the crocs flats depending on the style they do have some wide width flats but not always in a style I like. So I order up a size sometimes that works. Also do they have any support for your feet. For $175.00 I would expect them to be durable an last for at least a year or more. But I also would need some kind of support for my feet.
ReplyDeleteThey don't come in wide width, but I have wide feet and they fit me! I've been wearing my Tieks for 9 months now and they still look and feel great!
DeleteI have been contemplating buying these for some time. I also have a wide foot and high arches to boot. My problem with flats is how much they pinch or hurt across the top at the base of the toes. Did you find any issues with these doing this?
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn! I don't have high arches, but I do have wide feet and I don't have any problems with them pinching or hurting.
DeleteI have a very narrow foot which fits almost nothing. I wear an 8.5.... Any Ida's on what size I should get and if they. Work with narrow feet?
ReplyDeleteHi Dale! I have wide feet, so I can't comment on how they are with narrow feet, but if you call Tieks customer service I'm sure they could tell you.
DeleteI have, ahem, bunions it looks like these might rest right on top of them and cause pain. Anyone who has this issue and can comment? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI too suffer from bunions (bummer) but I just received my first pair of Tieks today (bronze) and have been wearing them around the house for about 4 hours now....While they did "rub" on the bunion a bit at first, the leather seems to be stretching/softening and I'm pretty confident they'll be just fine. Otherwise, I absolutely love them and am already picking out the color for pair #2!!
DeleteI have the metallic gold ones and taupe ones as a neutral pair. I love the lilac ones though. Are they versatile?
ReplyDeleteI wear lilac quite often. I think they look really nice with gray and black and are very versatile.
DeleteAs far as sizing goes, the people at Tieks are very helpful. My feet are slightly wide, and the 8 fits perfectly. (I normally wear a 7.5 or 8) In fact, they get better fitting the more you wear them, as they shape to your feet. Yes, they're pricey, but how many expensive pairs of shoes do you have that you don't wear because they hurt? I am now addicted: chestnut, black, cobalt, blush and leopard. The only negative I have is with the leopard: they are seriously cute, but the color/paint job seems to be fading. I am very careful with my Tieks and I don't wear them in the rain or mud. I wonder if this is due to the leopard ones being painted? I am contemplating the lilac or fuchsia next...
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen! I agree - Tieks customer service is great! I only own solid color matte Tieks, so I can't comment on the leather ones. Fuchsia is my favorite!
DeleteI ordered the metallic flats and was beyond excited to get them as they were a gift for my mom. These are definitely the most uncomfortable flats I have ever worn. My mom felt really bad telling me how bad they hurt considering the price but I definitely don't blame her because they are awful. I'll stick to my Target brand flats.
