Spring and summer are my favorite seasons. There's just something about warm weather,
flowers in bloom, and lazy days by the water that help me feel relaxed and complete.
I love feeling the warmth of the sun and sipping on something cold to drink, while reading
a book or hanging out with friends by our pool. I have lots of books pinned to my
"books to read" Pinterest board that I want to read this summer!
This month I'm collaborating with Stonyfield and sustainable clothing company,
prAna to share my recipe for a layered fruit and yogurt smoothie. My delicious and
healthy smoothie is perfect to sip on while relaxing by the pool wearing this

Now getting back to the smoothie. This layered smoothie is a little more labor intensive
than a regular smoothie, but it only takes a couple extra minutes and it looks so pretty
when it's ready to drink! I love how you can taste a different fruit in each layer.
As usual, I used Stonyfield Whole Milk yogurt, frozen fruit, unsweetened almond milk
and chia. I love Stonyfield yogurt because all of their yogurt is made with certified
organic ingredients, which means it's free of artificial hormones, toxic pesticides and
GMOs. It's also delicious!!!
I made my layered smoothie with raspberries, banana and blueberries, but the
combinations are endless!

Layered Fruit and Yogurt Smoothie
3/4 C Stonyfield Whole Milk Yogurt, vanilla
1/2 C frozen raspberries
1/2 C frozen banana slices
1/2 C frozen blueberries
1 1/2 C unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tsp. chia seed
For each layer blend 1/2 cup frozen fruit, 1/4 cup yogurt and 1/2 C almond milk
until smooth. Rinse the blender between layers. Top with chia seed.
