Summer Pool Necessities & DIY Essential Oil Bug Spray

This post is in partnership with Stonyfield Organic. As always, all opinions are my own.

Happy first day of summer!
Bring on the pool parties, picnics, beach vacations and more!

Speaking of pool parties, we finally got our pool up and running over the weekend.
When we opened it in April we were quite surprised to find it almost completely empty!
Our liner had a couple of holes, causing the water to slowly leak over the winter, but it's
fixed now and I love our new liner. It's so pretty!

We spend a lot of time in our pool during the summer, so it's important to have all of the
necessities like sunscreen, pool towels, drinks, snacks and bug spray ready when friends,
family and neighbors stop by.

Stonyfield Organic Kids Yogurt Pouches are always a favorite pool day treat!
I keep them in a cooler with drinks by the pool for easy access for the kids.
Stonyfield kids yogurt pouches contain 30% less sugar than the leading brand of
kids yogurt, plus they're organic, non-GMO, pasture raised and gluten free.
Adults love them too - just ask my husband!

Sunscreen is a pool day must! We've been using Badger Broad Spectrum SPF 35 Natural
Mineral Suncreen Cream lately. Some sunscreens contain harmful chemicals, but Badger is
safe, natural and certified organic. Both Stonyfield and Badger are B-Corp certified.
You can read more about that on this post.

We don't like mosquitos or other bugs spoiling our pool time fun, so I keep a bottle of
bug spray close by. I make my own natural bug spray using essential oils instead of
store bought sprays with nasty chemicals. You can find the recipe below - it smells
so good!

I'm so excited that summer is finally here! We have lots of things we want to do
over the next few months! I wrote a summer bucket list this year so I don't forget anything.
I'm really looking forward to number 22!

I hope you have a wonderful summer full of everything you love!
