Homemade Bath Bombs {DIY}

I've been trying to make the most of our shelter in place time by trying new recipes, crafts
and projects that have been on my someday list. I have a pretty long list and it's always fun
to try something new, especially when the project or recipe turns out just as you hoped it
would! Today we're making homemade bath bombs.

I've been using Young Living essential oils exclusively for a little over a year now and I
love learning new ways to get rid of toxic beauty and cleaning products in our home and
replace them with natural products.  (You can read more about why I love Young Living here.)

Heart-Shaped Bird Feeders {DIY}

Birdseed heart for Valentine's Day
I've been feeling extra crafty lately - making essential oil diffuser bracelets and diffusers
for your car. Sitting in my office/craft room and creating is so relaxing and satisfying.
I don't take the time to do it often enough!

Paint and Shake Christmas Ornaments

Paint and Shake Ornaments

Let's get crafty!
There's just something about the holidays that gets me into a crafty mood.
I don't know why - it's not like I don't have a million other things to do, but cleaning,
baking and shopping can wait. Let's make some cute new ornaments for the tree!

DIY Snow Globe Christmas Ornament

Isn't this bottle brush tree snow globe ornament the cutest!

Last week while browsing around Michael's I noticed these clear, open front plastic
ornaments and thought they would be a fun craft to make with Madison. Her fiancé
was out of town for the weekend so she came over to stay with us and it was so nice
to have her back home.

Summer Pool Necessities & DIY Essential Oil Bug Spray

This post is in partnership with Stonyfield Organic. As always, all opinions are my own.

Happy first day of summer!
Bring on the pool parties, picnics, beach vacations and more!

Speaking of pool parties, we finally got our pool up and running over the weekend.
When we opened it in April we were quite surprised to find it almost completely empty!
Our liner had a couple of holes, causing the water to slowly leak over the winter, but it's
fixed now and I love our new liner. It's so pretty!

DIY Sink Cleaning Scrub

DIY Sink Cleaning Scrub with Essential Oils

I've been on a mission to use more natural cleaning products in our home.
Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day products are my favorite, but sometimes I enjoy making
my own, like this homemade carpet freshener.

After washing the evening dishes I've been cleaning the sink with a homemade
sink scrub made simply with baking soda and a few drops of essential oils.
I keeps my sink shiny clean and smells amazing!

DIY Beverage Cart

Last week I attended my first Do-It-Herself workshop at my local Home Depot.
Normally I don't spend much time at all in Home Depot unless I need to run in for
some spray paint or to check out the flowers and plants, but when I read that the
workshop taught you how to make this adorable beverage cart I was all in!

Do It Yourself Beverage Cart

I'll admit, I was a little nervous.  A hammer and screwdriver are the extent of my tool
usage, but our instructor, Grace, put me right at ease.  She was so nice, friendly and so
encouraging!

DIY Beaded Cocktail Picks

Did you happen to notice the beaded cocktail picks I used on the silver dollar
buttermilk pancakes in my Mother's Day brunch post?
Aren't they cute!

A few people have asked me where I got them, so I thought I would write a
little post about them. I pinned the idea last year from The View from Great Island.

Paint Chip Heart Valentine's Day Cupcakes

Over the weekend Madison and I went to Lowe's to pick out paint for her bathroom.
It was time for a makeover and she wanted to get rid of the outdated wallpaper.

While browsing the paint chips looking for the perfect shade of gray, I noticed how pretty
the pink samples were.  As our paint was being mixed I picked out a few of the pink and
red paint chip to take home.  I had an idea :)

How to Make Cake Flour {DIY}

Have you ever noticed how many different types of flour there are?
Geez!
All-purpose flour, whole wheat, spelt, almond, coconut and bread flour just to name
a few.

I don't know about you, but my pantry isn't large enough for all of that, nor do I use all
of those different types of flour on a regular basis.

Pretty Packaging for Store Bought Baked Goods

We've all been there.
That last minute phone call asking for a bake sale donation or a new neighbor has moved
in next door and you have absolutely no time to bake.  I'm here to show you a cute way to
turn store bought baked goods into pretty packages that anyone would love to receive.

Quick and Easy Hostess Gift

I found the cutest dish towels at Walmart this year.  Walmart has really upped their game lately,
first with the Pioneer Woman line of dishes and bakeware and now this cuteness.

Washi Tape Crafts {Book Review}

I was recently asked if I would like to review a book titled Washi Tape Crafts:
Take a look at this photo from my craft room - what do you think my answer
was?

I may have a slight washi tape obsession :)

Red, White and Blue

July 4th is one of my favorite holidays!
Sunshine, fireworks, family and cookouts - what's not to love!

Since the 4th of July is right around the corner, I thought I would share a few
red, white and blue faves from my Pinterest board.
I hope to make some of them soon!
Maybe you will too!

Love this rustic ribbon and lace flag from Flamingo Toes!

Chocolate Spoons

I'm not much for cold weather, but I do love a nice cup of hot chocolate.
Especially in a cute mug!
Have I told you about my cute mug addiction?
If you follow me on Instagram you've probably seen several of them :)
I can't resist a cute coffee mug!!

These pretty little chocolate spoons would be perfect for gifting with a
packet of hot chocolate mix and a holiday mug.
Maybe for a teacher, neighbor or whoever.
How fun would it be to leave them in your mailbox for the mailman!
I think I'll do just that!

Chocolate spoons would also look super cute on a Hot Chocolate Bar at a party!
They are so easy to make I hardly need to give you directions.

Wine Cork Spools {for Baker's Twine}

I have in insane amount of craft supplies in my office.
For real.
And I'm not even a legit crafter.
Sure I like to make cute things when I have time, but most of the time baking,
stalking Instagram and watching Nashville trumps crafting for me :)

I also have hundreds of wine corks.
Don't ask why.

Anyhoo - I decided I could put some of those wine corks to good use by helping to
organize all the random piles of Baker's Twine I have lying around.

I love Baker's Twine!
Maybe because I'm a baker :)

Holiday Happiness in a Jar {DIY Christmas Craft}

I'm not very crafty, but sometimes I can make some pretty cute stuff.
This for example.
I. LOVE. IT.

I call it Holiday Happiness in a Jar.
It makes me happy every time I look at it!
