Paint and Shake Christmas Ornaments

Paint and Shake Ornaments

Let's get crafty!
There's just something about the holidays that gets me into a crafty mood.
I don't know why - it's not like I don't have a million other things to do, but cleaning,
baking and shopping can wait. Let's make some cute new ornaments for the tree!

Here's what you'll need:

clear glass ornaments (you can find them at Michael's or Hobby Lobby)
acrylic craft paint (I prefer Martha Stewart brand)
an old egg carton for holding the ornaments to dry
ribbon, pom poms. etc.

Gather your supplies and carefully remove the tops from each ornament.
Squirt about one tablespoon of paint inside an ornament. Holding your finger over the
opening shake the paint around, rotating to cover the entire ornament with paint.
Add a little more paint if needed for complete coverage.

Place ornaments upside down to dry. I use an empty egg carton, but you could also
use small plastic or paper disposable cups.
Warning - paint will drip out of the ornaments as they are drying, so keep a paper
towel handy to wipe the opening.

Leave ornaments upside down overnight to completely dry.  Replace ornament tops.
Adorn with ribbon or pom poms if desired and hang them on your Christmas tree.

Enjoy!
